Oven Stew

Here is a great stew to serve at the cottage on those chilly fall days.
It is easy very easy to prepare.
The ingredients are as follows:
2 lbs. stewing beef or round steak (cut into cubes)
3 sliced carrots
2 onions sliced
1 cup of peas
1 small can of tomato soup, mixed with half a can of milk
1/2 cup of water
1 bay leaf
salt & pepper
Put ingredients in 2 quart casserole in order shown.
Cover and bake in a slow oven at 275 o F for about 5 hours. Or until soft.
Serve with a crusty loaf of bread.
